The magic of Disney is coming at a higher cost. The Walt Disney Company has officially raised prices for both Disneyland tickets and Disney World tickets, marking another round of increases for the nation’s most popular theme parks.
According to a report by Fox Business, the price changes took effect on Wednesday, impacting guests visiting Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The company attributed the increases to higher labor costs, ongoing park expansions, and new attractions being developed across both resorts.
A Disney spokesperson told Fox Business that the company remains “committed to creating magical experiences for everyone,” emphasizing that the new pricing still reflects a full day of entertainment and access to the parks’ many experiences.
Disneyland Tickets See the Sharpest Increases
Visitors to Disneyland will feel the impact of these changes the most. The park’s Tier 6 one-day ticket, valid during peak times and holidays, now costs $224 per adult — up $18 from the previous rate. This represents a 126% increase compared to ticket prices just a decade ago.
For those looking for multi-day options, the popular five-day Park Hopper pass, which allows entry to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, has jumped by $39 to $655. Even the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, Disney’s paid option for skipping lines, saw a 6.25% increase and now costs $34 when purchased in advance.
Annual passes were not spared either. The Inspire Key, Disneyland’s highest-tier annual pass, rose by $150 to $1,899, while the Believe Key climbed $100 to $1,474. Despite the price jumps, demand for passes remains strong, with many tiers selling out quickly after becoming available.
Walt Disney World Follows with Moderate Price Adjustments
Meanwhile, Walt Disney World in Florida has implemented more modest increases. The resort’s peak one-day ticket rose by $10, bringing the cost to $209 per adult. Annual passes saw smaller adjustments, rising between $20 and $80 depending on the tier.
Parking fees at Walt Disney World also increased by $5 for both standard and preferred options. However, in an effort to balance affordability, the park introduced several new promotions, including free dining offers for children throughout 2025 and 2026.
Disney also announced that starting and high-end ticket prices at Walt Disney World will remain stable through at least October 2026 — a rare commitment in an era of rising costs across the theme park industry.
Disneyland’s Tier 0 Tickets Remain Affordable
Despite the overall increases, there’s a silver lining for budget-conscious guests. Disneyland tickets at the park’s Tier 0 level — valid on the least crowded days — will remain at $104 for adults and $98 for children.
The number of Tier 0 days is also expanding significantly, with 38 available dates in 2025 compared to just 15 in the previous year. This change gives visitors more flexibility to experience Disneyland at a lower cost, provided they visit during off-peak times.
Additionally, a special California Resident Park Hopper deal will be available early next year, offering three days of admission for $249 — roughly $83 per day — valid from January 1 through May 21, 2026.
Why Disney is Raising Prices Again
The rising cost of Disneyland tickets and Disney World tickets follows a long-standing pattern of incremental increases driven by inflation, operational costs, and guest demand.
Disney has invested heavily in park upgrades, including new attractions, themed lands, and technology-driven experiences like the Disney Genie+ system and the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride, which replaces Splash Mountain. These investments, while improving the guest experience, contribute to higher operating expenses that the company says necessitate periodic price reviews.
Industry analysts also note that Disney’s pricing strategy is aimed at managing crowd levels, especially during high-demand periods. By raising prices on peak days, the company can better balance attendance and enhance the overall park experience.
What It Means for Parkgoers
For families planning their next Disney vacation, the new pricing means careful budgeting is more important than ever. Visitors can still save money by booking in advance, visiting during non-peak dates, or taking advantage of resident and seasonal promotions.
While the latest price hikes have sparked frustration among some fans, Disney maintains that its parks offer unmatched entertainment value and immersive storytelling — elements that continue to draw millions of visitors each year.
