The Delhi High Court has issued notices to 24 banks and directed Google to collaborate with the Cyber Cell in response to concerns raised by the Delhi Police regarding fraudulent websites. The court has emphasized the need for an efficient response mechanism as innocent customers have suffered financial losses. There have been cases of cyber fraud where users have fallen victim to phone numbers found on Google. The Delhi Police also highlighted the difficulty in obtaining information from Domain Name Registrars and intermediaries hosting these fraudulent websites.
