Defence tech startup Constelli raises $3 million in round led by Pravega Ventures


Aerospace and defence tech startup Constelli has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding led by Pravega Ventures.

The company plans to use the funds for capital expenditure and research and development (R&D) of new products.

This marks the first institutional funding round for the Hyderabad-based company.

Founded in 2017 by Satya Gopal Panigrahi and Avinash Chenreddy, Constelli specialises in developing advanced signal processing solutions and tools that enhance the design, development, and testing of critical aerospace and defence systems.

“We leverage modern technologies and advancements in hardware and software, modelling and simulation, and distributed computing to achieve this transformation. This funding empowers us to invest in new product development and expand our sales and marketing efforts,” said Chenreddy, who is also its chief technology officer.


Constelli focuses on enhancing technical sophistication and expediting the development lifecycle of payloads for airborne and ground defence platforms. Its products and services are used globally by organisations developing radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems.

The company’s clientele includes India’s ministry of defence, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and defence contractors in South Korea, Australia and Singapore.The funding comes at a time when aerospace and defence tech startups are drawing increased investor interest. During the period 2020 to October 2024, the sector has attracted $184 million in total equity funding, according to data intelligence platform Tracxn. Leading startups in the space include NewSpace Research & Technologies, IdeaForge, and Garuda Aerospace, among others.
