Cybersecurity firm Securonix appoints Venkat Kotla as Chief Technology Officer

Cybersecurity firm Securonix is revolutionizing SIEM for hybrid cloud, data-driven enterprises. Its Unified Defense SIEM offers a content-driven threat detection, investigation, and response solution, scalable for security operations.

The company recently announced the appointment of Venkat Kotla as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as part of its strategy to meet the increasing demand for its Unified Defense SIEM platform.

The company said that Kotla’s role will involve leading the company’s engineering function and enhancing partnerships with top technology organizations.

Who is Venkat Kotla?

Venkat Kotla brings over 25 years of experience from leading enterprise software companies. Before joining Securonix, he was the Vice President and Head of Engineering for Economy BU at Atlassian, contributing to the growth of the Economy line of business to over $500 million ARR.

Kotla’s tenure at Google spanned over 14 years, including roles such as the Senior Director of Engineering for Google Assistant and Google Looker.

Nayaki Nayyar, the CEO of Securonix, emphasized the importance of the platform scaling with enterprise-grade reliability to address the growing needs of modern enterprises facing an expanding threat landscape. 

“Venkat’s deep experience with advanced technologies, including AI, successfully expanding technology partnerships and streamlining processes across multiple stakeholders will be invaluable in driving product development that protects our customers from internal and external threats,” Nayyar stated.
