Content startup Knocksense raised an undisclosed amount in Pre-Series A led by Lucky Ali

Content startup Knocksense raised an undisclosed amount in Pre-Series A led by renowned singer Lucky Ali where CEO and founder of Nazara Technologies, Nitish Mittersain, and Mohit Satyanand from Teamwork Arts also participated.

Founded in 2016 by Vibhore Mayank and Varul Mayank, Knocksense is a hyperlocal content-driven commerce platform that targets youth in Tier-II cities. It delivers digital content, recommendations, events, and business opportunities to engage brands and communities in these cities. The funding will enable Knocksense to accelerate its expansion plans, reaching more cities and connecting with diverse communities across India.

Based in Lucknow, Knocksense provides content in Hindi and English, covering cities such as Kanpur, Indore, Goa, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. Lucky Ali expressed his support for Knocksense, emphasizing how the startup fosters an authentic community and provides greater opportunities to the youth in smaller cities through engaging content and commerce.

The founders of Knocksense stated that Lucky Ali’s belief in their mission strengthens their resolve to empower young users and local brands in smaller cities through hyperlocal content, events, and commerce. They expressed excitement about leveraging his expertise and guidance to shape the future of Knocksense.

Knocksense aims to bridge the gap between traditional media channels and the evolving needs of the younger generation by leveraging technology and cultural relevance.

The Indian digital content market has been growing steadily, and according to a study by Statista, it was valued at INR 571 billion in recent years, with an estimated rise to INR 862 billion by 2025. This demonstrates the significant potential and opportunities in the consumer internet space.

Knocksense joins the list of other startups in the creator economy that have successfully raised funds. Last year, creator-led commerce startup Wishlink secured $3 million in a seed funding round. Another similar startup, Phyllo, raised INR 120 crore to help businesses focused on the creator economy gather data and insights through a single application programming interface (API).
