Australia has announced a ban on social media platforms for teenagers under 16 years of age. Beginning December 10, teenagers won’t be allowed to use major social media platforms.
Platforms will now have to introduce strict age-verification checks, and those that fail to comply could face huge fines. Meta has already started removing accounts belonging to under-16 users.
