Apple watchOS 11.4 update introduces option to ‘break through Silent Mode’ for alarms on Apple Watch


Apple released the watchOS 11.4 release candidate, offering a preview of new features set to arrive on the Apple Watch in the coming weeks. While the update includes some bug fixes, the most notable change is an adjustment to the Apple Watch’s Silent Mode, allowing alarms to sound even when the device is otherwise silenced.

Currently, Silent Mode on the Apple Watch delivers notifications solely through haptic vibrations, ensuring privacy, minimising distractions, and preventing audible interruptions during moments like meetings.
