Apple now selling top head strap for Apple Vision Pro’s Solo Knit band

Initially spotted by Brad Lynch on X, Apple has recently listed a new Belkin Head Strap for Apple Vision Pro, one that looks very similar (though not quite identical) to the strap that they unveiled back at WWDC23. It works in addition to the Solo Knit band.

Update Nov 3: Now available for purchase, with deliveries available as soon as November 6th. Original post below:

The new Belkin Head Strap for Apple Vision Pro will be available for $49.95, although it currently isn’t available for purchase.

The new product is described as follows:

Enhance your Apple Vision Pro experience with an ergonomic and adjustable Head Strap that provides superior comfort and stability. Designed with aesthetics that make a great addition to the Solo Knit band, the Head Strap features a secure locking mechanism and additional stabilization points to keep Apple Vision Pro in place, even during vigorous movement.

As mentioned earlier, Apple unveiled a product that looks very similar to this back at WWDC23 when Apple Vision Pro was initially unveiled, although it never ended up shipping. Instead, they chose to release a cheaper Dual Loop band that did include a top strap, but it didn’t include the same mesh fabric as the Solo Knit band.

Around $50 seems like an okay price for this accessory, since many users have appreciated the comfort of the Solo Knit band but wished they had support on top of their head. Now, you can theoretically have the best of both worlds. It would’ve been nice if this was included in the box.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it. He read the original 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) as a boy and excitedly went to theaters in 1987 to see the film version, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wright enjoyed the adaptation but was a little let down by just how different it was from the novel. Years later, after he’d become a successful… Source link
