Airtel’s subsidiary, Xtelify, has unveiled “Airtel Cloud,” a robust telco-grade cloud platform built initially for Airtel’s own extensive operations. Handling a staggering 1.4 billion transactions per minute internally, this platform is now being offered to other telecom service providers.
Airtel Cloud operates on an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model, allowing third-party telecom companies to leverage its powerful capabilities. This move signifies Airtel’s ambition to become a key player in the telco cloud space, extending its proven internal infrastructure to a broader market and potentially driving significant revenue diversification. The platform promises enhanced scalability, reliability, and efficiency for telecom operations, positioning Xtelify as a competitive cloud solution provider.
