AI-driven enterprise tech startup Beacon.li has secured $7 Mn (around INR 60.9 Cr) in its Series A funding round led by Sorin Investments, the VC firm founded by former KKR India CEO Sanjay Nayar.

The round also saw participation from Athera Venture Partners, JAFCO Asia, along with existing investor Unicorn India Ventures and angel investors including Capillary Technologies founder and CEO Aneesh Reddy, Rapido cofounder Aravind Sanka, and Kapil Bharti.

In a statement, the startup said that the capital will be used to expand its AI capabilities, increase its global footprint, and boost enterprise automation.

Founded in 2023 by Silus Reddy and Rakesh Vaddadi, Beacon.li provides AI-powered product assistants for enterprise software support. It claims that its AI product assistant seamlessly integrates into enterprise systems, automates tasks, resolves queries, and generates documentation in real time.

The startup counts the likes of Darwinbox, Zluri, Keka HR and Planful among its customers.

Commenting on the funding, cofounder Vaddadi said, “As AI reshapes industries, India must take the lead in global innovation, and Sorin’s support strengthens our ability to do just that.”

Meanwhile, Sorin Investments’ partner Subeer Monga said, “India has a wealth of talent, and companies like Beacon.li prove that India can produce groundbreaking AI innovations for the global market.”

The development comes at a time when AI, especially GenAI, has taken the world by storm. This has spawned the rise of a number of AI-focussed startups which are developing solutions to provide services across the globe.

These startups are also seeing a lot of interest from investors. Over 200 Indian GenAI startups have collectively raised more than $1.2 Bn since 2020.

Just a day ago, UptimeAI bagged funding from Switzerland-based ABB Motion’s venture arm. Meanwhile, AI-powered debt resolution platform Rezolv, founded by Kissht cofounders Karan Mehta and Sonali Jindal, also secured $3.5 Mn in a round led by 3one4 Capital.
