New Delhi transport officials have slammed ride-hailing apps Uber and Ola for allegedly violating norms by operating two-wheeler bike taxis in the national capital.
Transport commissioner Ashish Kundra stated that the department issued warning notices to Uber and Ola last week and requested clarification on why the two companies should not be penalised. The cab aggregators had a week to respond. This coincides with the Delhi government publicly prohibiting bike taxi apps like Rapido, Uber, and Ola from operating in the national capital. Despite the ban, the apps are still available, and bike taxis can be seen in the area.
