Final Fantasy 14 Xbox beta to arrive on February 21: All details |

Final Fantasy 14 developer Square Enix confirmed the arrival of the popular MMO game on Xbox in July 2023. At that time, the developer revealed that the latest Final Fantasy title will be available for Xbox Series X/S in spring 2024. Square Enix also noted that just like its PS5 counterpart, the Xbox version of the game will also support 4K visuals and faster loading times on Series X consoles.
However, there may be a catch for Xbox owners who are willing to play Final Fantasy 14 on their consoles once the stable version of the game releases on Microsoft’s devices. Square Enix has also confirmed that the open beta version of Final Fantasy 14 will be available to gamers starting February 21. However, unlike the game’s PlayStation version, Xbox players will have to pay for two subscriptions to play the game.

Here’s how much players have to spend to play the game

In a blog post, the developer has confirmed that “the Free Trial version, including the open beta test, will not require an Xbox Game Pass (Core or Ultimate) plan to play. However, the full Xbox Series X and S version will require an Xbox Game Pass (Core or Ultimate) plan to play.”
A 30-day subscription of the game costs $14.99. Meanwhile, a 90 days and 180 days subscription for the title costs $41.97 and costs $77.94, respectively. Xbox Game Pass Core, which is the cheapest tier, costs $9.99, $24.99 for three months, or $59.99 for a year.
Even if players pay for the longest possible plan for each subscription, the minimum amount that Xbox players have to pay to play Final Fantasy 14 every month will be $17.98. On the other hand, Xbox players will have to pay $24.98 if they choose to pay for both subscriptions on a monthly basis.
However, Xbox will allow users to download the game for free. The company also confirmed that the game will fully release on Xbox immediately upon the open beta’s conclusion. But, the company didn’t confirm the official launch date of Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox.

Apple may be developing an iPhone with an under-display camera, and if it’s successful, it will be a remarkable achievement.  A recent rumor from Weibo user Digital Chat Station (translated into English) suggests that such a camera may appear in the 20th anniversary iPhone, which could be called the iPhone 20 and is expected to debut in 2027. The idea of an under-display camera for an iPhone would be novel, but it’s a feature that we’ve seen on several Android phones, with mixed results at best. An… Source link
