Twitch, the video streaming service owned by Amazon, will shut down its operations in South Korea due to the high cost of operating. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy explained that despite efforts to reduce network costs, operating in Korea is still 10 times more expensive than in most other countries. The decision is a tough call, but Twitch will help streamers in Korea transition to alternative live streaming services.
