US-based SaaS giant Salesforce has partnered with the Indian Ministry of Education to skill 100,000 students by 2026.
The partnership will enable the usage of Salesforce’s free online learning platform, Trailhead, aims to make Salesforce skills widely accessible to the next generation of Trailblazers and to foster new talent within the Salesforce ecosystem.

The collaboration is set against the backdrop of the burgeoning global Salesforce economy. According to IDC, The sector is expected to create 11.6 million jobs and generate $2.02 trillion in business revenues between 2022 and 2028.
Salesforce’s partnership with Indian academia is a strategic move to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in this area.
Program details and benefits
The program will offer industry-relevant content, aligned with the National Occupation Standard. It includes unique features like “train-the-trainer” sessions for educators, mentorship, and employment connections with Salesforce partners and customers.
Additionally, Salesforce-supported Virtual Internship opportunities will be available. The course modules on Trailhead will be customized to meet the specific requirements of the programs run by the Ministry of Education and its affiliated bodies.

Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson of Salesforce India, highlighted the critical role of talent in India’s technological journey. She emphasized the importance of proper skilling to harness India’s immense talent pool. “India’s race toward technological dominance is inextricably intertwined with the depth of its talent pool,” Bhattacharya said.
Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, expressed his views on the collaboration. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to offering industry-related courses through the SWAYAM platform in partnership with Salesforce.
Jaiswal believes this initiative will not only enhance student employability but also contribute significantly to the overall growth of participants.
“By combining our resources, expertise, and network, we can create a comprehensive program that empowers students with the skills they need to succeed in the job market,” Jaiswal stated.
