Apple has unveiled its first AR/VR headset, the Vision Pro, at its developer conference. The headset, set to release in 2024, is being tested with developers and will run on visionOS 1.0. Developers have discovered code suggesting that the headset will support screen mirroring via AirPlay or FaceTime. Other features include EyeSight, which displays a user’s simulated eyes on an external display, and the ability to share virtual representations of oneself in real-time with others over FaceTime. Users will also be able to store their Personas on Apple’s servers, encrypted and inaccessible to the company.
