HCLSoftware to acquire business intelligence platform Jaspersoft for $240 million

HCLSoftware, the software business division of IT services company HCLTech, intends to acquire Jaspersoft, the business unit of Cloud Software Group, for $240 million in cash, the company has announced.
The deal is structured as an asset carve-out, with Jaspersoft’s 115 employees transferring to HCLSoftware. The transaction is expected to be completed within six months from the signing.
The asset purchase is driven by increased demand for HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division (Actian), metadata management, data catalogue and data governance solutions….
