Over a thousand Amazon employees have backed an open letter to CEO Andy Jassy, warning that the company’s rush into AI could harm both the climate and its workforce.
According to Wired, four members of Amazon Employees for Climate Justice started gathering signatures last month. After hitting their first target, the group released a list of the job titles of Amazon staff who signed. They also revealed that more than 2,400 supporters from other organisations, including people at Google and Apple, have joined them.
