Square Enix unveils Dragon Quest I and II HD-2D Remake’s launch trailer — catch a glimpse of this Xbox JRPG’s story changes before joining the adventure


Just a week from today, modern JRPG fans will get to experience the games that laid the groundwork for the entire genre from the 1980s onwards, when Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake launches on October 30, 2025, for home consoles and PC.

To get players excited for this HD-2D remake bundle, Square Enix has released a new launch trailer for the game, which gives a sneak peek at how this game will renovate the original Dragon Quest I and II’s story for a modern age.
