GITEX and Dubai Safari Park: A Tech and Nature Spectacle This Season

Dubai Safari Park Opens Its 7th Season Under ‘Wild Rules’ Theme

Dubai continues to prove it’s a city of innovation — not only in technology but also in conservation. As GITEX 2025 kicks off, another major attraction in the emirate — the Dubai Safari Park — has reopened for its seventh season, offering residents and tourists an immersive wildlife experience under the theme “Wild Rules.”

The flughafen-like rush of visitors at the opening mirrors the energy across the city as Dubai hosts GITEX 2025, the world’s largest tech exhibition. Together, both events reflect Dubai’s dual commitment to digital transformation and sustainability — one leading innovation, the other championing biodiversity.

Located in Al Warqa 5, Dubai Safari Park houses over 3,000 animals from 300 species and promises an unforgettable journey through six themed zones: Al Wadi, African Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Asian Village, and the Kids’ Farm. Visitors can explore on foot or via the park’s eco-friendly shuttle train, which highlights Dubai’s sustainable transport initiatives.

Smart Safari Experience Meets Smart City Vision

Much like the GITEX 2025 Dubai showcase, which explores how smart technologies shape urban life, the Dubai Safari Park incorporates advanced management systems for animal welfare, energy efficiency, and visitor safety. The park’s reopening comes as Dubai accelerates its Green Economy goals, ensuring even leisure attractions align with sustainability principles.

This year’s “Wild Rules” theme invites guests to engage with wildlife through interactive experiences, including the Explorer Safari Bus Tour, where visitors can encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs in open habitats.

Park guide Omar shared that each enclosure has been designed to replicate natural ecosystems, encouraging animals to behave as they would in the wild — a concept that mirrors the “real-world simulation” ethos celebrated at GITEX 2025 through AI and robotics.

Key Highlights for Visitors

The petting zoo remains a favorite, allowing children to feed friendly pygmy goats and learn about animal care. Other attractions include:

  • Greater Rhea & Cow Enclosure: A unique bond between species symbolizing harmony in biodiversity.
  • Giraffe Feeding Experience: Guests can feed giraffes Mara and Emara and observe their feeding rituals.
  • Cheetah and Tiger Enclosures: Six tigers and two cheetahs — named Zig and Zag — offer thrilling sights.
  • Birds Kingdom Live Presentation: An expanded educational show with interactive wildlife talks and workshops.

The park also features newborn animals, including lemur babies and Asiatic bear cubs, furthering its conservation efforts.

Family-Friendly Innovation

In addition to the wildlife exhibits, the ‘Guardians of the Wild’ education series blends entertainment with environmental awareness. Families can attend workshops on sustainability, animal care, and eco-friendly living — themes also championed at GITEX 2025 Dubai, where startups are unveiling AI-driven sustainability tools.

This shared focus positions Dubai as a global model for smart and sustainable living, integrating innovation into every sector — from tech expos to conservation zones.

Dubai’s Dual Identity: Innovation Meets Nature

As GITEX 2025 Dubai draws global innovators, Dubai Safari Park attracts nature lovers from around the world. Both highlight the emirate’s dual vision: advancing cutting-edge technology while preserving the planet.

Visitors can experience GITEX’s futuristic displays at Dubai World Trade Centre during the day and unwind amid nature at Dubai Safari Park in the evening — a perfect blend of progress and preservation.

Officials expect record attendance this season, urging guests to book online, arrive early, and use Fast Track Access for the best experience.

Dubai Safari Park operates daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the option of private guided tours for small groups — similar to the personalized tech experiences being offered at GITEX 2025.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it. He read the original 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) as a boy and excitedly went to theaters in 1987 to see the film version, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wright enjoyed the adaptation but was a little let down by just how different it was from the novel. Years later, after he’d become a successful… Source link
