Graphcore, a UK-based AI chipmaker owned by SoftBank, has announced that it will invest £1 billion (around $1.3 billion) in India over the next ten years.
The company plans to set up its first AI Engineering Campus in Bengaluru. This campus will create 500 semiconductor engineering jobs.
In the initial phase, Graphcore will hire 100 engineers. These engineers will focus on areas such as silicon logical design, physical design, verification, characterization, and bring-up. The engineers will develop semiconductor products to support AI applications…
