TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra & other IT stocks plunge up to 6% after Trump’s H-1B visa fee hike; Nifty IT index slumps 3%



IT giants such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, and Coforge slipped up to 6% in morning deals on Monday, September 22, after US President Donald Trump on Friday sharply raised the one-time cost of H-1B visas to $100,000 (Rs 88 lakh), rattling sentiment in a sector that had only recently shown signs of a rebound.
