Development teams are under increasing pressure to adopt AI agents at the same time agents have been known to go rogue, leaking sensitive data and in one case deleting a production database.
Ilya Sutskever, former chief scientist and co-founder of OpenAI, has said that AI agents’ autonomous behavior will become more unpredictable over time, leading to warnings that they are “ticking time bombs” and calls for new types of security and governance.
