Eternatus Arrives in Pokémon GO: Max Finale 2025 Ushers in a Legendary Showdown

Pokémon GO fans are in for the ultimate challenge as Eternatus Pokémon GO finally makes its grand debut at the Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale event, scheduled for August 23–24, 2025. This highly anticipated update introduces Eternamax Eternatus, one of the most powerful Pokémon from the Galar region, marking a historic moment for trainers worldwide.

Eternatus Pokémon GO: The Biggest Battle Yet

For the first time ever, Eternamax Eternatus will appear in Max Battles, pushing trainers to their limits with a test of strategy, teamwork, and endurance. By participating in these colossal battles, players can earn Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, essential for powering up this legendary Pokémon once caught.

To access Eternatus in Pokémon GO, trainers must use the GO Pass: Max Finale, which is available free of cost. Completing special event tasks will reward players with encounters with Eternatus, other Dynamax Pokémon, and valuable resources such as Max Particles.

For those who want to take it a step further, Niantic has introduced the GO Pass Deluxe: Max Finale, offering boosted rewards including more Candy, extra Max Particles, and a greater chance of encountering Shiny Dynamax Pokémon.

Event Bonuses and Exclusive Features

The Eternatus Pokémon GO event is packed with exciting bonuses to keep trainers engaged throughout the weekend. Highlights include:

  • Double Candy and Candy XL for catching Pokémon
  • Increased Power Spots, refreshed daily
  • No limit on Remote Raids
  • A raised Max Particle collection cap

These perks ensure that every trainer, whether playing locally or remotely, gets a chance to maximize their progress during this monumental event.

Gigantamax Pokémon Take the Stage

While Eternatus Pokémon GO headlines the Max Finale, other fan-favorite Gigantamax Pokémon will rotate throughout the event.

  • August 23, 2025: Gigantamax Lapras, Snorlax, Gengar, Inteleon, Venusaur, Machamp, and Toxtricity (Amped Form).
  • August 24, 2025: Gigantamax Rillaboom, Charizard, Butterfree, Kingler, Blastoise, Cinderace, and Toxtricity (Low Key Form).

On top of these showdowns, trainers can encounter Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta in Five-Star Raids, adding more legendary flair to the event.

Wild Spawns and Research Rewards

The event will also see the return of several iconic Pokémon in the wild, including Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Caterpie, Gastly, Beldum, Darumaka, and Scorbunny.

Timed Research tasks will focus on powering up Pokémon and battling Eternatus Pokémon GO, with rewards such as Candy XL and Max Particles. Field Research will unlock encounters with Omanyte, Kabuto, Trubbish, and even provide Candy for Zacian, Zamazenta, and Eternatus.

Why Eternatus Pokémon GO is a Game-Changer

Eternatus is not just another legendary—it represents one of the most powerful entities in the Pokémon universe. Its Eternamax form has never been available in Pokémon GO until now, making this event a must-play opportunity for collectors, battlers, and shiny hunters alike.

The timing couldn’t be better: with all Gigantamax Pokémon returning, and Eternatus at the center of it all, this event sets a new benchmark for how large-scale Pokémon GO experiences can be executed.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it. He read the original 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) as a boy and excitedly went to theaters in 1987 to see the film version, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wright enjoyed the adaptation but was a little let down by just how different it was from the novel. Years later, after he’d become a successful… Source link
