India is set to introduce the Online Gaming Bill in parliament on Wednesday that seeks to ban money-based games, according to two government sources.
The decision enjoys broad political backing, the sources said, adding that while there are concerns over job losses, policymakers believe the negative social consequences of real money gaming far outweigh them.
