Microsoft is increasing prices on its Xbox ecosystem, including consoles, controllers, and headsets, globally. The Xbox Series S will now cost $380, an $80 increase, while the Xbox Series X will jump to $600, a $100 price hike.
This decision comes amidst concerns about the potential impact of the ongoing trade war on supply chains and the broader gaming industry. Microsoft’s move follows a similar price increase by Sony for its PlayStation products just two weeks prior, suggesting a wider trend in the gaming hardware market. This makes the affordability of current-generation consoles a growing concern for consumers.
