Microsoft is continuing its strategy of bringing Xbox exclusives to other platforms with the announcement of Gears of War: Reloaded. This remastered version of the original Gears of War will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X on August 26, 2025.
The “Reloaded” edition promises a significant visual and performance upgrade, boasting 4K resolution and a smooth 120fps frame rate. Cross-play functionality will also be enabled, allowing players across all platforms to connect and play together.
Microsoft is touting this as the “definitive” way to experience the classic title. The game is currently available to wishlist on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam storefronts, signaling its wide availability across the major gaming platforms. This move further blurs the lines between console exclusivity and multi-platform releases.
