Coinbase is actively collaborating with government agencies to foster a deeper understanding of cryptocurrency. CEO Brian Armstrong revealed partnerships with over 100 governmental bodies, both domestically and internationally. This initiative includes working with 145 US agencies on crypto custody and trading, and 29 international counterparts.
Armstrong cited a surge in institutional interest in crypto, potentially fueled by Donald Trump’s perceived pro-crypto position, referencing a scenario where Trump is the 47th President. The increased government engagement suggests a growing recognition of the need for regulatory clarity and informed policy-making within the digital asset space. Coinbase’s partnerships aim to provide expertise and support as governments navigate the evolving landscape of cryptocurrencies.
