ChatGPT has reached 365 billion annual searches in 2024, a milestone that took Google 11 years to achieve in 2009, following its inception in 1998, according to Mary Meeker’s Trends – Artificial Intelligence (AI) report.
This indicates a faster rate of adoption for AI-based tools, with ChatGPT reaching the same scale 5.5 times more quickly since its public launch in late 2022.
The report also said that in 2024, ChatGPT achieved a user base of over 700 million, a subscriber base of about 20 million, and revenue of over $4 billion.
