Content creator Misha Agrawal tragically died by suicide on April 24, 2025, just two days before her 25th birthday, as confirmed by her family through a post on her Instagram account. The initial announcement simply noted her birth and death dates, leaving followers shocked and searching for answers.
On April 30, Misha’s sister publicly confirmed the cause of death and shared an emotional message detailing her younger sibling’s mental health struggles. She revealed that Misha’s phone wallpaper—centered around reaching Instagram milestones—highlighted how deeply tied her self-worth had become to social media validation.
Misha had made it her goal to reach one million followers and build a loyal online community. However, as her follower count began to decline, her mental health sharply deteriorated. Her sister described Misha as growing increasingly anxious and feeling “worthless,” despite being a bright individual with a law degree and aspirations of becoming a judge through the PCSJ exams.
In the months leading up to her death, Misha reportedly expressed deep despair, frequently crying and fearing that losing followers would ruin her career. Her sister tried to support her, urging her to separate her identity from social media metrics and focus on her personal happiness. Sadly, these efforts were not enough.
Her family has asked for privacy during this devastating time and urged others to remember that Instagram is not real life, emphasizing the mental toll online pressures can take.
