Sonos confirms ‘major outage’ affecting Apple Music integration

The struggles continue for Sonos. The company has confirmed that an ongoing “major outage” means that Apple Music is currently unavailable via the Sonos app.

On Reddit, some Sonos users say they are unable to access their library of Apple Music content. Other users say they were randomly signed out of their Apple Music account and are unable to sign back in. Many users say they have been impacted by the outage since Tuesday afternoon.

On its system status page, Sonos has confirmed the “major outage” and says it is working on a fix. There is no timeline on when that fix will be rolled out.

We’ve identified a problem with Apple Music on Sonos and are working with them on a fix. You may not see all results while browsing Apple Music on the Sonos app until this is resolved.

The Sonos integration with Apple Music typically allows users to access and play the entire Apple Music catalog of content. There’s also support for viewing custom playlists, favorites, and more.

This is just the latest in a series of struggles impacting the Sonos app. This time around, it’s not explicitly clear whether the problem is due to a Sonos outage or an Apple Music outage. With that being said, Apple Music is working just fine for everyone else.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it. He read the original 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) as a boy and excitedly went to theaters in 1987 to see the film version, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wright enjoyed the adaptation but was a little let down by just how different it was from the novel. Years later, after he’d become a successful… Source link
